Years Experience
I have been coaching for 17 years, coming up to 18 years in April.
Coaching History
I started coaching juniors groups/camps and beginner adults when I was 14. I then started my coaching qualifications and began working with county junior players when I was 16/17. Became a fully qualified LTA Level 3 coach at 20. Passed my LTA Level 4 Coach at 23. I have coached in London – England, Corsica and Rhodes. I also have a strength and condition qualification so I can give off court/on court fitness training as well. I always enjoy coaching the basics to grass root players. I specialise in body dynamics/shot breakdown, footwork, service motions, and injury prevention (I have had the majority of tennis injuries).
Playing History
I began playing 4 years old at David Lloyds Enfield in their weekly sessions. I moved to Totteridge Tennis Club and had 1-2-1 sessions between the ages of 14-18. I developed Rotator Cuff impingement which I struggled to get rid of between 16-21 which i why I have such a deep knowledge of the service motion. I have always competed and got my LTA rating down to a 3.1 but decided in 2018 to see how good I could get if I trained properly and managed after 6 months to rank 648 in Britain. Sadly during this time I struggled with elbow pain, this was limiting my ability to play multiple matches in a week I sadly had it confirmed as compartment syndrome. After lots of little technique changes, conditioning work and general recovery time I was able to get back playing. I had a good month without too much pain and was aiming to go abroad to train but sadly covid happened and that is how my playing career wrapped up.
